Which one of these do I need?

Just looking to connect my pioneer unit into my mk2 leon. I don't have wheel controls. I've already got the aerial adaptor from when I used to run this unit in my old mk1 leon.

or do I need something completely different? There seems to be so many different ones out there

the first one is what you use if you want to run your own separate ignition feed,however there arent any safe locations on the fusebox that are ignition fed,most have abs,tcs,ecu control all on ignition.
if you want to use the first,wire it so you turn it on by the radio,ie permanent.

the 2nd needs an additional interface,connects 2 CAN-01 or CAN-02
this generates an ignition feed from the can bus interface aswell as items such as park signal,reverse,speed pulse,illumination etc

however as these are expensive if you want ignition fed i suggest purchasing an igni-gen as this generates an ignition feed however this only works with engine started,not with car primed,this needs to be teamed with the 1st option

So if I just got the cheaper adaptor and remember to remove the facia whenever I leave the car I won't have any problems with it causing a flat battery etc?

just make sure you press the power button till it powers off,so long as you dont go on holiday for months on end you'll be fine
