Has anyone actually had a cupra within the initial 3 months quoted to them? I have just ordered one about 2 weeks ago expecting mid December delivery According to LO

I ordered mid July and my build week is today and expected arrival at dealers on 16 Oct

I ordered through nationwide, so there’s a good chance that they had already ordered them before I placed my ordered. This is a confirmed build week
Good news that somebody has a confirmed build week that isn’t miles away.

Hope all goes smooth for you and you get the car when stated! :)

Just had this through from LO:
“The dealer has confirmed that a provisional build date has been supplied for your vehicle of w/c 20/01/2020. The ETA to the dealership is showing as w/c 02/03/2020 if the build date remains the same. The dealership is confident that the production date will come forwards, but this is the initial build date released by Seat. We will of course keep you updated.”

Hopeful it will come forward as they say

Won't that be when the new shape gets released? That's due early next year isn't it.

I’d imagine it will probably be officially announced early next year and ready for September reg along with the golf but i might be wrong. Either way it’s long time to be waiting for a Seat!!

Sound similar to what I have been told and if so why the hell would we accept that for me it would be over 6 months.

As above May aswell order the MK4

I don't know the answer but I wonder if there will be a SEAT CUPRA in the MK4 As this is when the new CUPRA Brand is supposed to start in earnest.

Wow, Im so glad I ordered my Cupra early. I had to overlap my cars, costing £500 in payments for my old car that I didn't use for 2 months, but i suspect I'd still not have it if I had waited.

I don't think so. From the looks of it there will be a Cupra León Hybrid 250bhp and rumours of a pure petrol coming later. But I doubt either will be launched anytime next year. Surely the SEAT Leon Cupra will be dropped when the new shape Leon arrives next year though as they won't be manufacturing cars to that shape anymore or chassis.

If I've got to wait that long I'm cancelling.

Sorry if you've been asked already, what model/colour and when did you order?

Edit: looked back

Ordered my cupra lux 290 with LO about 2 weeks ago, order confirmed and forecast delivery is mid December according to them, I hope they’re right!

I wasn't far in front of you, days or weeks maybe and LO haven't given me a provisional build date but via the dealer stated, "Probably end of November."

I think that's pretty conclusive proof that were being fed BS all round.

I’m sick of reading how different the info is.

I have learnt order date does not necessarily matter because the factory has to accept the order and the dealers lie.

I ordered July 10th with motorsource and physically was told I could not order a cupra before that date because it was being updated. So I’m unsure how people were ordering before unless they are due a MY19 which surely now is unlikely.

July 10th was the open for orders date, mine went in and confirmed accepted by factory yet this week I was told factory never actually booked me in till the 24th Aug so either I’m very very unlucky or orders could have been backed up since May which is the earliest I have read on here that someone has ordered and now has an October BW.

That would mean us getting messed around who ordered July onwards should expect these ridiculous 2020 BW to be quite true !! 5 months from May would be October and 5 from July would be Dec/Jan

I really really hope I’m wrong and get it in Nov which is what they say is ‘possible’

All in all still have no clue what’s going on or when

So best I get is to rant on here :)
