Can someone tell me the difference between my19 and my20?

Nothing for the none Lux.

For the Lux they added:
Buckets in micro suede
Seat belt warning for rear seat
Tiredness monitor for driver

they removed:
Heated windscreen nozzles, reservoir and headlight washers
Electric adjustable drivers seat
Sports seats in Leather.

Basically what Betts said about the seats being the major difference.

So, had a chat with the LO account manager today. Spoken to her before, nice lady so fits the job well.

I'm going to wait a month. I've nothing to lose as I was planning on November delivery anyway and pretty much everything is still to play for.

If in the middle of October it is still showing March I can pick something else or walk away. I have no deposit to lose as that was the special blue light worker offer, in that they don't charge an arrangement fee and therefore there is nothing to pay upfront before delivery. I've said that there is no point me looking what offers there are now or what they currently have in stock, because in a month's time this all could have changed anyway. Plus LO although it was the cheapest on the Cupra I found, isn't necessarily the cheapest full stop. For example, a Lolvo S60 T5 caught my eye as in budget, but LO is a good £100 per month more.

So basically, I'm going to sit on my hands and stew for a month. This hasn't stopped me sending an email to Seat customer services asking for an explanation as they told me something completely different on the phone the same day that I got the news from the dealer of the delay.

Long shot, but it did cross my mind, that it could still be the dealer has sold more via LO than they are allocated and are trying to get people to cancel their orders. It would explain why Seat are saying it is still on schedule.

3 April I ordered Leon Cupra 290 2 year lease with LO and received email yesterday confirming it's built, en route to EU port ready to be shipped and "anticipated" will be at dealer 7 Oct. Anyone had similar which turns out to be lies...? I've not even signed finance paperwork as they need a reg number...? I was told it would be delivered to me about a week after arrival at dealer but that's maybe not correct...? Initially I had said I wanted car beginning of this month.

That's pretty much the same date we ordered our standard Cupra hatch. We also were told by Leasing Options a while back the car is expected to be with the dealer by 7th Oct.
It looks like we're a bit ahead of yours now as it's in Grimsby port and will be moved to 'Compound' this week to be transported to DM Keith in York with ETA to dealer end of Sept apparently.

Like yourself we were told a reg number was needed to send the finance docs out, but LO put a fake one on the docs (to be substituted by the real reg once available). That way we could sign papers and get them approved by ALD and start the 14 day cooling off period, to avoid further delays once the car is with the dealer. It's looking like first week in Oct. for our delivery so will be 6 months bang on, but hopefully might be sooner.

Ordered July 10th. Lux ST. It’s being built next week with anticipated late October arrival at the dealers. Ordered direct.

I suppose it depends when the factory accepted the order and then planned assembly. It will vary depending on other specs and models in their pipeline.

Fingers crossed for you all!

Yer I seem to be a bad spec for build as I was told July 10th order accepted and last week got told it was 24th Aug so I lost nearly 6 weeks for nothing

Just had an update from nationwide.

I ordered mid July, my build week was this week. The order was for a MY19 Leon cupra standard in black.

The car has been built however it is a MY20 not heard of any differences but it confirms that there isn’t any backlog to be cleared for anyone waiting.

Mines due at the dealers on 16 October so should get delivered end of Oct to early November id assume

This makes perfect sense and has been the case for some time. The black ST in the dealership is a model year 20 but was clearly ordered before the 10th of July. This was delivered within the last week so the switch for model years has happened at some point over the last month.

Hmm yet more info that conflicts everything then.

I have just come to the realisation it’s going to come when it comes and likely randomly.

It must be lux orders or orders with pano roof that seem to be pushed back so it seems.I guess maybe less orders so grouping them

If it's anything it will be the Pano roof that's the cause. They were smashing out the Luxes in May, June and July. I don't see why the bucket seats would make a difference from leather unless they have a supply issue.

Ours has the glass roof. We ordered Urban Silver which possibly has a fairly Imminent end date for availability. That’s the only thing I can think of.

I don't think it's so simple for the optional extras. I got turned down for adding the drivers pack once they had accepted my order that's even less work than the Pano roof. Their whole process is strange.

It seems very random atm and only they know but to accept an order July 10th and make me wait till Aug 24th before it’s even accepted at factory is a joke,to wait 6 months for a new is a joke, the updates are a joke, the different info is a joke, the process is a joke

There is a theme here lol

Yet I’m still waiting for it so i must be a jester :)

Just got off the phone with seat CS.
They are apparently still aiming for November delivery (I ordered at the start of September) however this is subject to change and the build week at the very latest is late January - which is what I was advised by LO as the build week. As you can imagine they have no further information about it and just advised me to call back mid October for any updates. I don’t understand how they can be so broad with build weeks (ranging from delivery in November to delivery in march) I work in a automotive factory and as far as planning goes it is a lot more organised than what these seem to be saying!

Just spoken to my dealer regarding extras, however he did state Seat are busting a gut to get as many shipped over before 31 Oct in case there are issues after B-Day.

Mine is confirmed 7 Oct BW, so might make the ship in time, who knows?

Hey all, first post on here! (I think anyway) Placed an order for a 290 hatch on Tuesday through Nationwide, the lady seemed to think it was an older batch I was ordering from and said it was probably a cancelled order. I got an email yesterday saying the estimated build week is 7th of October but reading through this thread I fear it may be a bit later than that in reality!

Ordered mine at the end of July, was produced on wednesday, going on a ship on 8th of october to Finland and then will arrive in Estonia either 24th or 31st of October.
Pretty satisfied as the original due date was +1 month, in the end of november.

Suppose not being affected by brexit is an advantage in this part of europe..
