Another forum newbie here!

I ordered my Cupra on 7th March and I've still not got the keys!

Can't tell you how many times I've watched the same videos and read the same reviews over and over!

To try and relieve myself of some of the pain from waiting, I've even been to every seat dealer in the West Midlands just for test drives.

The worst thing? I now don't even have a car as my mk6 golf sold and the buyer wanted it there and then.

I've been told my car is expected end of May.

Has anyone else financed their cupra with personal leasing? I found it much cheaper than pcp so that's the route I took.

went to pickup mine today...

did not sign a contract, since they had no demo car, the dealer were sure i would leave his dealership in the cupra..

found a lot of small issues just at the first walktrough...

paint errors (yeah not on visible panels), seam errors in one seat, 3 "restarts" of stereo, black trim internal were really bad looking (same as the CHEAPEST model with the black trim instead of chrome (no chrome in Denmark) cabin dark and dull.

drove it, and yeah its fast, but it seamed like lower shelf quality... so i returned it after 15 miles, and walked away...

Should have ordered it fully spec´ed as i would have wanted it, not have accepted this just, to get it fast..

So ... no Seat for me, bought a panic car as a temporary solution (a good new car with high rebate, that i can drive for 1/2 year without loss), and had to drive the old P1800 out of hiding, just to have something to get to work in, since my normal car has been sold.

a bit sad, but i know that i need to walk away if its not love at first sight, had bought cars before, that i´ve .."found ok" and in Denmark with the prices... thats just not an option.

considering selling/trading my mk2 leon cupra stage2+ for one of these. Questions, obviously better to sell Private if you can, but what sort of deals can be expected with a trade in. Also what is everyone getting price wise, and are you taking finance, if so whats it working out monthly.

looking at the cupra 280 dsg, maybe with leather and the speaker options. Just need to see if the monthly price works for my budget

cheers

Paperwork part is taking the biscuit to get it ordered as the NHS aren't the quickest with paperwork...
But hopefully ill get it sooner rather than later!

Wow....20!!! Wish I could have had a car like that when I was 20. Do you get insured through the leasing scheme then cus surely it would cost you an absolute fortune otherwise?

Haha yes! Otherwise I wouldn't have a hope in hell getting insured!

It's costing me well over £1000 on my diesel scirocco so if hate to think what it would cost on this :|

Ouch! I'm also 20, and my FR cost £850 to insure from brand new last September with full business usage and a few extras (and humongous excess). The only car that has cost me over £1k to insure was a 1.2 Polo at 17...

Just got some new quotes, and I can now insure mine for £775, or a Cupra 280 for £895, despite someone crashing into me just before Christmas.

Suppose that's at least one benefit to getting older....cheaper insurance! I pay £310 on my 2.0 tsi Scirocco at present and have been told by my current insurer this will increase to £345 on my Cupra when it arrives.

Placed my order on the 7th april - Red cupra 280 SC DSG with black leather, seat sound pack, the flag decal on the front and back and supergard. I had fancied the bucked seats but they don't become available until july and after talking to seat customer care they didn't know how much they are going to cost.

Insurance doesn't seem to bad for me either, I am 24 and a quick quote on moneysupermarket came back at £500. Think I'll get it cheaper then that on my multicar!!

Counting the day's!!!
