Hi all,
I am looking to fit to my car (Pre FL cupra) wider tires.

the size i am interested in is 255X35X18 , fitted over 18X8.5 ET ~45

I know that in the GTi this is possible but marginal , but i have no clue about the Leon.

does anyone know if that will fit (at around 2 degrees camber) ?

as a second option , if i can't make that fit i will consider some arch work or a wide arch body kit (not too aggressive). does anyone know any (experience) ? i have seen the JE wide arch kit but that doesn't fit cupra.

thanks in advance.

I know that the wheels will fit, as I have 8.5 x 18 ET45 for summer use. The tyres are 225/40 R18.

255/35 R18 will have about the same rolling diameter, but may have issues with the arches & will be a firmer ride (less sidewall).

what, using 255 tyres? I havent tried it personally but I'd be surprised if you couldn't feel the difference even from same size 18" 225 tyres... its 3cm difference!!!

i will be putting down 450+ hp , so no problem with performance , i need the extra traction.

also will be running high camber, so on a straight line it will not be "wider" than 225's.

as for shoulder height , it is around the same as 225/40 - 90mm in 225's compared to 89.25 in 255's.
