I think I may have bought one off ebay, then realised that its different to the normal W8 light

I liked it because it has, like another sun-visor attatched to it, and i thought it would be ideal really, as I was thinking about getting a sunstrip, and that would look better than the sunstrip, not as 'aftermarket' looking, if that makes sense?

The little visor above the rear view mirror seemed like a good idea to me but on my Mk1V Golf Gti it never worked that well in practice.........the sun light would still get between the bottom of the little visor and the top of the rear view mirror.
My Passat has one similar to the above with red LED's which look good at night
wont all the wires be the same though?
Surely if i just mounted it in the same place, I know the hole will need making bigger, I could figure out a way of attaching it..
Maybe a backing plate with some self tapping screws, and then another frame over the top to cover the screwheads, or something like that anyway.

The kit you linked to, in the second link is just bulbs to add to an existing unit.
But i guess you have bought the whole unit?

TBH it looks to me like they arent selling the bit with the visor, seems to be seperate in the roof lining. Also the part they are selling seems to be the insides of the light as it says you need to drill your existing fascia to allow the light through.
I'd be asking them to cancel it if you have only just ordered it, if not then you might be relisting it/binning it lol.
Best place to get a W8 light is VW, so simple, just take the part numbers in and they will order it for you.
EDIT. The actual one you have bid on does look like the whole unit, least its not as expensive to bin.

i didnt win it anyway haha, someone saved me at the last minute, it was sold for £5.55 lol, i put max bid at a fiver aswell haha
