Removed adjusters on rear to drop it a bit more but test drove it and rubbed constantly. Took off spacers and just looked wrong :( so think I might try smaller spacers next time.
Anyway photos of what it can look like:

Well, I think the BMW has completely died. On motorway and oil pressure light comes on and engine makes horrific knocking noise and just stalls, has to Coast it to the hard shoulder to eventually get towed home. I'm not holding out hope for anything less than a full rebuild or reconditioned replacement engine :(

Not easy doing conversions on bmw's from what I know sometimes even a straight engine swap is hard and the engines don't like being put into a car they never came out of lol.

Yeah a different engine would be too much hassle, too many other factors would have to be changed as well, gearbox, brakes, new ECU to name a few. I've got a warranty that covers pretty much every engine part so hopefully could get it done that way. If not I've got a mate than can help me fit a new one.

On a plus not I could use the old block for a coffee table lol

Well for those interested, the plan is to find a cheap engine to swap and then sell the car, then get the 330 version

I'd get next to nothing selling it as a non runner, unless there was an option you had bud, I'm open to anything right now.

Just thinking by the time you buy another engine and fit it are you going to make much more than selling it as a none runner, are you able to fit the engine yourself ?

A good condition one with my sort of mileage go for about £7k. Really am stuck on what to do to be honest :(

You sure?

Sub 60k miles 05 plates with FSH at traders on Autotrader (as a yardstick only) look like they're more £4.5k (and some change)

You'd have to be looking at about £800 less for a private sale maybe?

Shame, it's a nice car, but not rare enough to command a premium. I guess it depends on if you really love it

with that mileage (45,000) for an 2005 msport actually go for 6-7k yeah.
I'd only put an engine in to sell off. Selling it at 1.5k as non-runner just seems too cheap but that's just me. Maybe thinking about leaving it the garage and breaking it for parts.
