Windscreen frozen on the inside..

Happy New Year all!

Went to jump in the Cupra this morning and noticed the inside of the windshield is frozen.. must be moisture getting in somewhere, before i start doing some invest has anyone experienced this? Common fault??

Quite normal under certain weather conditions. Happens before the car has warmed up :-(

Can be condensation from humidity/moisture on carpets/mats or also contaminated with grease windshield - cleaning it properly to remove all dirt/grease from inside might help avoid that.

...incidentally, I have to resolve the exact some problem on SWMABO's car today (a MY18 Seat Ibiza FR 1.5) and my first port of call is going to be clean it from inside.

Happens on mine too. Getting some moisture absorption packs from Amazon, eBay etc can help, just remember to take them indoors with you from time to time otherwise the moisture will just stay in the car. I just chuck them on top of the dash and they do reduce the amount condensation/ice that occurs inside at times.

Similarly, if you use a demister pad to clear the windscreen don't leave it lying in the car otherwise it's just releasing the moisture back into the air.
