Windscreen wiper problems

Hi everybody, i have an issue with windscreen wipers, there are some times, that my wipers simply wont turn on, but when i go outside, and pull them back, and hit to windscreen, they start.?
Changed relay, nothing changed..
What else could be the problem?
Wiper motor are ok, switch is changed.

Wiper linkage starting to sieze up? Ive had that myself.

If tapping them or physically moving them makes them start working again, it does sound like something might be seizing. Half the problems I have these days are solved with a bit of grease or some copper slip. If the motor is fine and the relay works, and they work fine otherwise, a bit of a clean and grease will probably solve it. It won't do any harm in any case.

Motors often exhibit that symptom when starting to fail. They often have certain 'dead spots' from wear, and the jolt of hitting them moves the rotor past that spot and they start working again.
