I have a chip in mine and that fine pitting when sun hits it, but also the delaminating. Will make a mention and update the already long e-mail sent to dealer on monday! Warranty out in October so get it done now to have things right.

Worth a change at their cost.

Got mine changed last summer due to white damp line creeping up from the bottom, without any arguments with new SEAT OEM (pilkington) glass screen. However the same problem starting all over again now, so will be requesting another change before the warranty runs out. It seems the replacement glass is no better than the original, well done to Pilkington glass on that one...not!

Here goes.

1. Windscreen delamination.
2. Steering problems - does'nt keep alignment and feels unstable at motorway speeds etc. Vibration in sterring wheel, all wheels balanced.
3. Window (D/S) has notion of dropping when ign off and raising window e.g. stopping with window down or using keyfob to raise, anti-pinch kicks in 99% of time. Does'nt really do it when ign on though.
4. "wet windows" all round despite being 'sorted' by a garge in the summer[:@]
5. Low mpg, getting around 35mpg at present with around 58litres in the tank. That isnt right i dont think. Doesnt matter the type of driving, easy, hard or normal still drinks it the same.

We have a few of the same here!
1 and 2..
When you say "doesn't keep alignment", is the the same as my steering wheel not being straight?
Low mpg well well well, i suffer from this one as well and all the garage will say is its the way i drive it...
I am only of the slowest drivers going, i like to save my turbo for the motorway slip road (and there is rare!) I get around 36 - 40 mpg.

But likewise with you, i tend to get the same no matter what the driving style is.

May i just add though.. what gear do you drive in at a steady 30 on a level road?

Thanks

Chris

At 30 i keep around 1800-2000rpm in 3rd! 4th is dragging and 2nd too high revs.
It has to be something like boost, MAF or something not sending/recieving the correct info for fueling?
Steering wheel not straight isnt much of indicator, does it pull to one side or the other with out of line wheel? wheel may not have been straightened at alignment, but wheels straight if you understand me?

Do you have the 5 or 6 speed box?
I find 4th at 30 keeps me just over 1.6k and the engine doesn't seem to struggle.

I was told once that if you disconnect the battery and leave it off for 15min, this clears the ECU of any memory of driving style that it has and can sometimes correct MPG issues. It works a treat in my dads car, we do it religiously every 2 months.

Steering... My car drives fine, doesn't pull to any side and stays in a straight line. I just have this bug of a problem where the steering wheel is turning slightly to the right when i am actually going straight.

I have a 1.9 5speed box. I can drive around in 4th but would drag a bit. Max economy is suposed to be at max torque, this is around 1900rpm.

ECU reset has been done a few times, moght try again and leave it for a while. see if it works any?

Likely that oyur wheel was not straightened at time of alignment if car handles correctly as you say.
