So some bad driver or little **** decided to knock off my wing mirror last night. Everything is still in tact and the electrics still work. However ive had to tape it back in place to hold it for now. When looking at the wingmirror itself and what i attach the wingmirror to on the car there are 2 metal discs which are ok and have no damage. What appears to be damaged is there looks to be some kind of metal rod that attaches the mirror to the car which has snapped. Anyone know what this is called, where i can get one and is it easy to fix?
Cheers

Had to replace the whole wing mirror on my car. The 'rod' you mention is probably the bolt that attaches it from inside the door. Mine was a door card out job to replace the whole unit. Was straightforward with patience. Not sure if the bolts can be sourced separately.
