Well the time has come and tomorrow tiggs goes in for his mot
I'm very nervous, expecting the worst. I'll probably not even sleep tonight. I bought my own parts as i'm not paying him £100 for a budget tyre
I have 2 front abs sensors as the light keeps coming on and off but typically it will be on for tomorrow, a tyre which for a 16" I got for a steal at £49 and I got wiper blades. About 2 months ago both rear wheel bearings were done. In April the 2 front tyres were changed and the laser alignment done and 6 months ago he was serviced. I'm hoping it won't need much, but I never get my car back the same day-there's always something but hopefully it won't be too drastic. Had no advisories last year so i'm hoping the back brakes are fine or i'll kick myself as I saw brembo rear brakes for under £50 which is a bargain!
Just need to wait and see

That reminds me they were done last year along with anti roll bar bushes and a droplink but i'm hearing a clunking sound again so maybe another droplink?

i spoke to MOT tester on monday, he said if the strut moves up and down excessively with no weight on it then it wil fail. excessively meaning hanging out as there were no set figures. i think its just the way they were made that makes it seem like theres something wrong.

Thanks, I hate mot time. You never get a phonecall to let you know how it's gone, and they tell you one price and its always changed by the time you get there

My MOT tester told me that vw/seats get an extra tolerance/allowance on the top mounts because of the way the suspension/geometery is designed.

yeap it actually says it on the inspection sheet that they print out before doing MOT. mines going to pass even if it had 3 wheels

Oh they are a pig to fit, my boyfriend took a few attempts to fit them. The clip wouldn't shut right and kept pinging open! Theres a diagram on that guys shop you got it from if it was the link I sent you

I'll check it out then as there was nothing on the packaging. I got soaked trying to put them on in the storm. It was ideal conditions to test them, if I had them on.

Thanks kezz, it's just if he's needing drastic work which will cost me waaaay too much money then i'll be forced to make a decision that's what I don't want. If it's not financially feasible to fix i'll have to break him.
