hello this might seem a stupid question but are wish bones the same as lower arms?as i have been told to replace my lower arms,and have found 2 complete with bushes and ball joints(wishbones) these are for my mk2 ibizacupra gti.

Control arms is another description for the same part. i get the impression wishbones is the older way of describing them, lower arms and control arms are the new way to make them sound better. It's all the same lump of metal.

it's not an older saying, just a common name for them, as you can get double wishbone suspensions etc. it was just called it in reference to the shape and resemblance
