didn't see this race thread last night! too excited...

Was really great to see WTCC make an entry in UK..do you think they'll be back next year? Wtcc doesn't quite have the following that Btcc has...

Anyway, heres some pics, not great but all I could manage in the wet!

The wet just makes the action all the more better…just when I thought last years very wet BTCC @ Knockhill couldn’t get more exciting this WTCC just proved to be as interesting. Great first race would have been all 4 SEAT in front if the Rob Huff’s Chevrolet hadn’t squeezed past! Sadly he wasn’t that lucky in the 2nd race I saw him spin off straight into the gravel pit right where I was standing! (at Druids -great place to catch the action got very, very wet!)

Rob Huff is a driving god!
Met a marshal on Sunday morning who'd been on post 17 (Westfield exit) on the Saturday when Huff had backed the reasonably priced car into the barriers. Apparently Huff got out of the car, walked over to the marshals and said, "Sorry guys, but I had to give it large"!

Huffy's a top guy - when I spent a day with the BTCC team (http://www.seatcupra.net/seat_sport/seat_sport_uk_btcc/a_day_in_the_life_of_a_btcc_team.html) he went out of his way to make me feel welcome.

and he's handy behind a wheel :D
I've finally got round to reading the programme fron Sunday and found out he's a local boy to me, and , even more god like , he's knocking off the bird from the morning show on our local radio station. Who if i remember right from a drunken night out is bloody fit. Top work Mr Huff.

Lets hope we see Huffy in a WTCC Seat in a few years time - when some of the old men have moved on!

If you can find one, get hold of a copy of the 2003 Racing Rivals TV series and you'll find out a bit more about him.

I wasn't that impressed with him in the Cupras as he was a bit too physical at times, but perhaps that was with the prize at stake. When he got in the touring car though, he was completely different. :) A shame he only had one season here and moved on. Plenty of time for him to return though.
