taking your money they are great !

first service at barlow motors in wolverhampton - forgot wallet luckely had cash on me but £3 short wouldnt let me take it & drop in £3 in the morning....[:@]

2nd & 3rd was in derby , cant remeber the name but they where ok

4th was in colliers in birmingham, i drop it off to some twirp in mg overalls i go down the road pop in the cafe for a munch 5 minutes later my car goes past doing at least 70 in a 30!!!! ring to complain get told they will get back to me ... NOTHING! go to collect it & they deniy it [:@] i guess they just borrowed my plate!

by now im getting a bit f:censored: :censored: ked off

5th went 35 miles out my way to one in droitwich they had in for 2 days to do a service & pads on the front! when i collected it the windows didnt work! book it back in they fix it & my engine light comes on!

eventually get it fixed & im well pi55ed with that place

6th get it done in stoke, back bumper scratched, that wasnt there the day before as i washed it & it hasnt been reversed by me & unless the wall in my garden fell down & rebuilt its self then only they could do it!

they played the innocent card

7th i went from birmingham to derby as i thought aslong as its done properly i dont mind, they tell me i need a new clutch & its going to cost over £400

ignored what they said about the clutch

8th went back to the one in wolverhampton begrudgingly(sp) OMG! they where great ! they did the work & changed the clutch & done under warrenty (80k miles)

just in for its 9th i was there first thing handed the keys over & the lady says *oh this should be back at lunch* great i thought telling her i knew the pads needed replacing so go ahead & do it today & not to worry about ringing for permission the engine lights on & the key fob needs a battery!

just had a call at 3pm *is it ok to do the pads* err yeah sure ... what time will that be ready? as i was hoping to get back for the footy, err yeah sure but you will have to book it back in for the engine light as they will have to plug it in & road test it ????????????

i just said* you might aswell keep it it till tomorrow if you havnt finished * they have no curtosey car so i have to borrow a car to get home!!!!

i have really lost faith in all seat dealerships , its like they just really dont care!!

i love my car but it will getting changed next march & i will never buy another seat due to the servicing problems....

you may think i have been an akward customer but all i have done each time is gone in smiled dropped of my keys & awaited there call....

it reminds me off mcdonalds drive through, how can they **** up somthing they do every day ????????

rant over !!!!

sorry.. everyone having a nice day?

Most of them are cack. I've had nothing but trouble with All Electric in Halesowen!

Specialists are the way forward.

Yeap i'm backing that. When i am looking to buy a car i want a service history, but if it all been done at one specialist place that i can speak to and confirm things then to me thats better that a main dealer

Edit: VW dealers are just as bad, bar Newbolds in Mansfield

DAMN! Nothing but hassle there, sorry for you mate.

My dealer has been absolutely superb. The service and politeness has been great. There are some good ones out there.

County Garage in Teignmouth are great bt saying that i always get my car serviced at a local garage which is half the price of a dealer and five mins up the road from me. The days of going to a dealer to get a car serviced has long gone.

I've used both and both times I got the service manager to inspect the car and had no probs with damage etc, even checked the mileage after Colliers had it. Guess I've just been lucky.

Started to use my local independent garage as tried to book my car in for a service and they wanted 2 weeks notice & couldn't supply a replacement car.

Saved loads with the local garage as well.

Gave on main dealerships when i had a bmw...Havnt even bothered since iv owned the cupra and had all work done by Westec. First class service so far from them...faultless...Even fixed things i didnt tell them about. and always had a courtesy car..a golf gti and a golf vr6...top notch.

Might pop it into seat soon though as i need some stuff done on warranty...any1 know if rattles are covered by warranty.

Find a nice privately owned specialist was my answer.

I dont bother with dealers any more.

All right, but when you have a problem with them not fixing things under warrenty... what can you do then!?

I think i am right in saying that the warranty work can be carried out at any garage as long as SEATs parts and procedures are used. Thats what the salesman at GK SEAT in derby told us anyway, btw top notch garage :)

i have only ever used this dealer in the 2 and half years i've owned my ibiza cupra diesel, and have to say that they have always been fantastic. normally costs less than stated at time of dropping off, always done on time, and they wash not only the car but also the wheels and exhaust.

i'm not used to this i used to own a ford:lol:

my dealer is not mod friendly and although the works been good they refused to look at the car due to mods on a number of occasions. jabba have done loads of stuff to my car, recently ihi. so its a long trip for a service but i wont trust it to anyone else now.

Services by any VAT registered garage will NOT invalidate any warranty
Block Evcemption saw to that to stop dealers charging silly money for the services.
I worked in a Skoda dealer as a service manager and warranty claims admin.
The lad who did 99% of the services was the apprentice.
The main "Techies" did not go anywhere near the service cars
But the customer was charged £55.00 + VAT (it was a while ago) for the privalledge (SP)
After working with 2 specialists and a dealer , I know who I would choose.
Anyone who is told that as it does not have a dealer service history warranty is invalid , is a scare mongerer

Never had any problems with these. Even getting a new exhaust back box under warranty due to a broken mount. A shiny tailpipe again without a tired wrist!!

Its kind of a vicious circle.

Dealers make no money on sales now thats not a secret. All profits come from aftersales. Now with people straying away from dealers they have less money which means they can't pay for the good staff and techs etc leave. Level of knowledge drops and it goes around again. It ends in dealers closing which means if your in warranty you have to travel further for rectification.

And as for apprentices doing the services and techs not touching them, not where I work. I grab all the services I can. Its the only thing I earn money on.

I've had good, honest service from King's at Sidcup. But the latest Which? report had Seat dealers around the bottom 25% when rated against other manufacturers.
