Xenon HID on angel eyes?

Can I use an HID kit on angel eyes? I remember I have a decal "HID not allowed" on the headlights and I remember a pic of angel eyes melted somewhere on the board but at the same time I've seen an mk2 with angel eyes and HID here so...can I use them? Searching I've found a kit that seems well appreciated and costs 50 euro, since a good pair of Osram lamps will cost me 20 euro I would like to try the Xenon.

i think you can aslong the hid kit is uv protected its not the bulbs that melt angel's its the uv... the bulbs get no hotter then normal xenon bulbs... anyway i would like to see a mk1 with hid angels anyone got pics =)
