When changing lights is it not just easier to slightly pull forward the headlight as a whole? Its what they do at Audi anyway

I didn't try that - knowing my luck if i pulled the whole headlight it wouldn't go back in. The cap eventually went back on in the end.... Does anyone know if the whole headlight comes out easily?
